The perfect second screen when travelling

TL;DR - Well packaged - Great colors - Helps a lot with on-the-go performance - Use the included USB-C to USB-C cable (or replace with a 3.1 compatible cable) - Slim and durable I'm I love to travel a lot and I just work from different locations as my tech job allows me to work remotely full time and I wanted to try this as part of my mobile office setup. Wow what's the difference, I'm used to having two monitors at home but having them everywhere is amazing. I was at my parents' house for a family reunion all week and my productivity improved immediately. Basically the same experience as at home, only the screens are a bit smaller. I also tried a portable touchscreen monitor and what a nightmare. Any accidental hit to the cable will wreak havoc on my mouse and open programs. The monitor itself feels pretty solid, and the connections feel solid and dependable. It's important to note that this is a matte screen, which is exactly what I personally wanted. However, note that this is not for you if you want a glossy screen. Color wise, I was pleasantly surprised at how bright and sharp videos look even on the matte screen. The speakers were typical monitor speakers, and I ended up preferring the M1 MacBook's built-in speakers. While I tested HDMI, I think the ideal use case is DisplayPort over USB-C (aka DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C) compatible with a laptop like a MacBook or Steam Deck. So you can use the pass-through charging feature, which means you can connect your USB-C laptop charger to port 2 of the monitor, and from port 1, connect the included USB-C to USB-C cable to your laptop only need to use one port on the laptop to charge and connect the monitor. It's also worth noting that the USB-C to USB-C adapter is NOT a standard phone charging cable. This is a special cable that supports the "alternate mode" mentioned above. So if you need to replace the included cable or a longer cable, be sure to purchase a USB3.1 alt-mode compatible cable. In general, I did not like anything about it. and offers exactly the function I needed and increases my productivity when traveling. Now I never have to go back to a single screen setup, which is great. Will be updated after extended use but at this price point it's hard to beat.
