I've spent the last 6 years looking for the perfect braking solution for my cyclocross bike that I use for commuting. I upgraded the center link cantilever brakes with several TRP V brakes a while ago and it's been a huge improvement. But the pads that came with TRP always made a lot of noise and wore out, so I tried these Supra 2s to see if they were any better. The first few days they creaked like crazy and I almost got rid of them. But by the end of the first week they settled down straight away and I think these are the best pads I've ever used. They have great braking power and are easy to modulate. I've ridden in a few downpours and they work better than any other pads I've used and definitely better than the dual compound mountain bike kool stop pads I've tried before. I expect them to wear out quickly due to the soft compound but will happily replace them often if I can stop well and quietly.
