Review on 🔧 K&N High Performance Engine Air Filter for 2004-2019 BMW (R nine T, Pure, Scrambler, Racer, Urban GS, R1200, Adventure, HP2, Megamoto, Classic, Enduro, R900RT) - BM-1204 by Mike Slippy

It's K&N, that's it. Suitable for my 2007 BMW R1200RT. I have had K&N in my Harley Sportster for 20 years so there was no question if it would work or not. My only problem is with the set. On an OEM air cleaner, the rim is made of highly compressible foam. The lid snaps fully into place. With K&N the edge material is a much stronger rubber and I can't fully engage the clips on the lid. The airbag is fully sealed and I'm pretty sure it won't come loose, but the fact remains the lid latches aren't fully latched. I'll find out at the next oil change. As with most modern fuel injected engines, there is plenty of room in the stock tuning areas so installing a higher flow filter like this from K&N does not require remapping or tuning. If I ride those 100,000 miles and 20 years like my Harley I will be very happy. 1 star deduction for not quite a perfect fit.
