Working great, no GFCI cut off, good communication with company

I have purchased a Splitvolt 40A EVSE based on direct interaction with Dan at Splitvolt. I asked Splitvolt directly if their device is compatible with GFCI switches. In my city, such a switch is needed when installing an outlet in the garage, regardless of usage. His response was thorough and while he could not guarantee that the split volt device would work with third party devices, he said they had no reports of such issues. The EVSE itself must also have a GFCI that can negatively interact with the GFCI in the switch. Reading online, EVSE devices have a mixed history of tripping upstream GFCI switches - simply put, some do, some don't, and some intermittently, but it's difficult to find accurate information on what is what . Anyway, my building inspector approved my permit and I didn't want to "just replace the switch" with a non-GFCI version - I could easily do that, but I don't trust my (or any!) insurance company to do that they pay to file a claim if they discover something that is outside the scope of the Code. In any case, I ordered this unit based on the positive interaction with Splitvolt and their assurance that they would work with me on any technical questions etc. Their return policy through Revain is also simple so I felt confident I was protected both ways. I turned on the outlet and when the EVSE powered on I was definitely hoping that it wouldn't immediately turn off the GFCI (I've seen this happen with other EVSE devices in the past). Good news! No problem turning it on so I plugged in my 2020 Chevy Bolt. No problem here either - it charges cleanly and quickly and for whatever reason didn't trip the switch. My interaction with the company has been excellent and the device works exactly as I expected. Note that I'm using the CH 50A GFCI type as you can see in the picture (switch bottom right). It plugs directly into a NEMA 14-50R outlet approximately 10ft 6/3.
