I probably pumped about 100 times and the soap was able to climb the first half of the hose from the weight to the check valve. Then he pulled up another maybe 6 or 8 inches before coming out. I decided to try the "suction" method to see if I could get the soap through the rest of the tube. I had to apply so much pressure that I'm surprised I didn't end up with a brain aneurysm. Anyway, as far as I can tell, after trying to suck the soap into the top of the tube, it just leaked out. I'm wondering if the check valve was reversed - so I reversed it and started again.
