If you receive the stand with the legs already attached, you will notice that when the legs are lowered, the stand tilts sideways instead of vertically. This is because one foot is on the opposite side and the stand is actually facing backwards. This was done on purpose to make it more compact when folded for packing. Remove the bracket screw (10mm nut) attached to the leg. which leg? Both leg supports should point inwards. Rotate the leg to the opposite side, reattach the bracket and tighten the screw. This is not mentioned anywhere in the instructions. The leg mounts had to remain unbolted to avoid confusion. I bet the manufacturer did this specifically to not include a 10mm wrench in the kit. Otherwise, the stand makes a very stable and stable impression. I was putting up a 50lb bike and the stand held steady even with only 2 legs. Brackets hold. The screws are fine, with the pinch protection and thread lock on the permanent screws they should last long enough. Do not overtighten the instrument case. It can tear. You still won't put a 5 pound tool in it. At $30 this is definitely a good buy for the leisurely biker. One star deducted ("can't do half") for insufficient instruction.
