Review on Copper Creek BK2040SS Entry Stainless by Harry Ashcraft

I was very happy to install this bedroom door and give me and wife little privacy! Installation was very easy, or so it seemed. Replaced the old handle with a new one. I checked the lock, checked the outside for unlocking. Everything seemed fine. He closed the door and went about his evening. It's bedtime and my wife asks if I locked the new doorknob. I remember leaving it in the unlocked position. Regardless, I thought unlocking it would be easy enough! Grabbed a screwdriver to unlock and rotate the outer slot. Still locked. Is it like one of those locks where you can open a door by turning it the other way? no No matter what I did, the door stayed locked. Then clamp the fitting with a slot. No matter what, the handle would not move! I've tried drilling out the screws holding the two pieces together, but I don't have the hardware to do it. Luckily my hallway is narrow enough that I could open the door with my foot! I will not buy this brand again!
