Forest fire smoke - Furnace filter
I live in an area that has had a lot of wildfires this summer. The smoke was thick and we received daily warnings about unhealthy air quality. I bought this air filter and installed it on the front of my large fan. In a short time the filter turned black with soot keeping my lungs out. I change the filter frequently and plan to clean my air year-round with this low-tech method. I can't afford a fancy air filtration system that basically does the same thing.
