Labor of Love Best in Yarn

I wanted to make something special for my 23 year old son. Something he could keep forever so I handmade a blanket for him. After I finished the duvet, I worried about how heavy it was and that it might be too hard to sleep under. He loved it! It is similar to the weighted blanket that is very popular today. This was my first "hand knitting" experience. The yarn was easy to work with once I got the hang of it and the quilt turned out beautifully! It was a labor of love!
