I have a 6 rib LSA supercharger pulley system on my 2005 Tahoe and also an aftermarket bracket system. Needless to say, superchargers like to slip your belt, which is not only noisy, but also causes the belt to heat up and slipping results in a loss of boost pressure. This tensioner, when used with the correct length belt and catch pulley, completely solves the slippage problem. I get 16 pounds of boost with the stock bottom pulley with this tensioner.
