Works very well with the Twain scanner utility. Very fast and quiet for this type of scanner. The double sided single pass scanner part works very well. All software appears to be Windows only. I didn't downvote that part because no one really seems to have Mac software. HP includes software, but it's made by a competitor, and that seems to be the reason holding their scanners back. I just downloaded the software from the included DVD, which actually contains the required Mac software. Most companies require one to download the necessary Mac software.
