I wanted the code scanner to find critical issues with my aging 2001 ML320; Truck/SUV which I really like and have owned for about 15 years. This code reader connected easily and although it couldn't automatically identify my ML320, I was able to enter the model manually. Some codes could not be read, certainly due to the age of the ML320. But in a matter of seconds, I was able to find functions to reset engine codes and check various electronic components on the car. In the future this will be a valuable tool if something goes wrong with my old ML. At least I can check everything beforehand to see if a trip to a mechanic more capable than me is required. The certainty of being able to better assess some of the errors is worth the price and makes this scanner a fair price.
