This mount works as expected and I knew what to expect by watching JessEm's YouTube videos. are a great start and for me better than any basic instructions. I find the jig very well done - the result is accurate and accurate dowel positioning without any fuss or fuss. I like that it's easy to both do it in the middle and use this jig to stagger the dowel holes on the front of the boards. I was able to easily place the off-center holes for the dowels that attach the table legs to the table top. Other jigs I've seen seem designed to help with centered holes. The first day I had so much fun with the jig that I probably put more dowels than needed into the workbench I built and then assembled two tables (lumber). Bench sheets that I didn't need for several weeks in other projects.
