Pleasantly surprised by this tool kit. I have used them for carving spoons and shaping wood for a variety of reasons and they have worked extremely well. They are much cheaper than the more expensive well-known brands and I think the quality is very good. Mine were in great shape straight out of the box and became terribly sharp after further sharpening with a diamond plate and belt. Now they cut through pine like butter and I've had no problem using them on harder woods like walnut. They don't look as pretty or get as sharp as a straight razor, but they are easily sharpened to almost the same efficiency (and you still need to sharpen each chisel/chisel regularly).
