Bought this for myself during social isolation COVID - first cross stitch since I was a teenager (let's say it's been over 30 years since I made this so I consider myself a beginner) - a very relaxing and beautiful result. The photo here is right after I hand washed it in warm water to get rid of the background mesh and printed it onto the flowers after I was done. For this project I used a double thread of embroidery thread (each thread included is 6 threads, I pulled two at a time and still had plenty of extra thread). Also, I didn't use white yarn for the line on the legs, I used the same color as the yellow on the fox's chest, which was thinner; I created a project following the lines from #1 onwards. which makes it difficult to find the print that guides the line of legs at the end, so I followed the design visually and was able to reverse stitch across the cross-stitch body piece). The fabric is very stiff at first and made my hand cramp to the touch, but do not wash to soften it as the background print will wash off; the fabric softened over time after treatment). I also ended up using thimbles to protect my fingers as needed.
