I looked at many welders first before deciding on this one and so far I'm glad I chose this welder. First impressions were that it's a lot smaller than my old Craftsman 85amp which initially bothered me a bit but after running a few beads I was impressed. I'm not a welder, but I took some courses in high school and I've been doing a small business building targets ever since. I chose this welder for several reasons: 1 year manufacturer warranty, dual voltage 120-220 and of course the cost. I am amazed that I have a capable welder with a 4 year warranty for less than $400 (Asurion Extended Warranty). I've only had it a few hours and have tried MIG with gas and a 7018 AC rod (I've still run this rod on DC with no problems). I gave this 4 stars because I don't know how to set the speed wires and directions are unclear. edges a little. All in all I think with some experience and learning how to set things up correctly I will be even happier with this car. I have only tried it with 220V so far.
