I bought these for my 16 month old and they are too tight. They don't really offer any stretch, so going up a size is probably better. I was worried the 2T would be too big, but it ended up being too small. If I had known that, I would have gone to 3T. Also these are very cute shorts and they are really good but they seem to run small so keep that in mind.
