Review on πŸ”Œ REXQualis Super Starter Kit with Arduino UNO R3: Tutorial, Controller Board, and Arduino IDE Compatibility by Melvin Goerge

Good facilities, tutorials could be better

At 36 years old I'm just starting to learn programming and microcontrollers with this Uno R3 starter kit. I was curious to create some interesting projects and decided now is the right time to start learning new skills. I decided to purchase this Rexqualis Uno R3 Super Starter Kit for several reasons: 1. It has a large number of solid reviews and a good rating.2. I wanted a kit that included Uno and a couple of starter projects.3. The price is good for good facilities included. Some first impressions: Pro: There's a lot in this set! Various little things, LEDs, a breadboard that looks like expensive junk, any sensors, buzzers, Motors, etc. e) Along with some beats I've already bought, this would be a very good starter kit for me. The components look like they are of good quality not to break, although I haven't tested everything yet. And the Uno board feels solid. The box that contains the components is sturdy and has a nice clasp that keeps it closed. I'm not worried at all that something might fall out. There are even two tiers with a sliding tray. Items are well identified either on the components or on the supplied reference card on the back of the label at the top of the box. The Uno board features an integrated USB-to-Serial connector, eliminating the need for an FTDI or JTAG cable. (Some smaller/compact/enhanced boards will need these for flashing firmware or sketches.) Includes datasheets for all included components so you can search for specs and conclusions. Libraries are also included for some components if required. Cons: Textbooks. mediocre. Perhaps this is the worst thing in this set. They have some educational information, but they don't introduce much to programming. Of the few I've reviewed so far, they provide a small amount of information about the main component in the manual. But if I want to create my own projects later, I need more information about why I should code a certain way. Tutorials could be for a simple "Follow the instructions" -Build that shows a kid how neat electronics can be, but I really don't think I'll learn how to program an Arduino based board very well. However, I noticed that there is a reference document for the code, which can be useful for finding out how different code snippets work. Even if it is not mentioned anywhere in the manual. I would probably link it in the preface pdf to lesson 0 to make sure people read it before they start learning. The included A-to-B USB cable is quite short. Fits a laptop, but a desktop may require a longer cable depending on where you have your USB ports. The Uno board still uses USB-B for the connection. It's just a duplicate of the official Arduino Uno R3 breadboard, so I'm not sure if it's really "against". But it would be nice to upgrade the board option with Micro-USB or USB-C. Overall I like this kit so far. There's a lot of good stuff here. I definitely recommend it as a good starter kit for the hardware included. But you will definitely want something more in education if you don't. doesn't know much about programming or working with Arduino boards. I would suggest buying a book or finding more detailed guides to enhance your learning experience. There's a lot of good stuff here.
