The box functions generally as it should, including as a personal cloud (no need to pay a membership, since RAID1 is more than stable), Plex Media Server, from which I use DLNA and view content in the browser, and of course, a location for everything that must be stored. With advantages: 1. Functions outside the box 2. I selected and scanned 2 WD MyBook Live 2TB. 3. Can function without a dedicated IP address and is public. 4. You can download WD MyCloud and set up cloud photo and video archiving on any smartphone. Everything instantaneously combines into a package over the Internet. 5. Extremely basic user policy 6. A basket is present (can be configured separately for any folder) Moreover, a number of applications may be downloaded and installed straight from the web portal, and ssh and root access are both included. Pros below: 1. Access to the web console was broken by the most recent firmware. After exhausting all of my options, I performed a factory reset, and everything was back to normal. The new console is actually superior to the previous one, and the Plex settings and application library are also unchanged. 2. Plex Media Server's most significant drawback is probably that WD power is insufficient for Plex to function properly. For instance, you can watch FullHD + DTS in its native quality, but you cannot instantly downscale it to stream to your phone because there is not enough power. Some of the movies in my library are incompatible with Plex's browser support.
