Review on DEWALT DW089LG Line Laser Green by Michael Walker

Bought this laser for framing at a construction site and am very happy with it. I bought it to upgrade from a DW089K Dewalt laser and its performance is definitely better, but not better in every way. After a few weeks of use, my verdict is that the DW089LG is better for marking walls, but a laser is better for laying tiles. DO089K (see cons for details). ADVANTAGES - The construction of the laser is very durable. - The laser lock function protects the laser from plumb or spirit level during transport. Just remember to unlock it while using it! - The rechargeable battery is a big plus and saves you from searching for last minute AA batteries (they always run out at the worst possible moment). - The 360 degree projection is very convenient for high spaces such as stairs. It also makes framing more accurate as the laser can be placed in the center of the room. - Laser line stays smaller beyond 25 feet. CONS - Please note that the DW089K laser has a micro adjustment dial. This will slow down label alignment somewhat. - Again, much larger than the DW089K, for a wall layout this isn't a problem, but for bathroom tile it can get in the way - Magnetic wall mount base doesn't grip the laser as tightly so it's easy to nudge the laser out of alignment
