I needed a good antenna for my Sirius portable player. I drive a truck for work and every day I have to plug in the radio and take it with me at the end of the day. This naval antenna was ideal for several reasons. First the cord. The line is thick and soft, easy to roll. My main criticism of the main antenna for Sirius is that the cable is a very very stiff and thin cable that doesn't really twist and turn into a tangle! The Sirius car or home antenna is poorly designed. This marine antenna provides you with a very nice cord that can be coiled and uncoiled at will and I converted it into a bracket to attach to my truck track. I will also say that the reception with this antenna is much better than with a regular Sirius car or home antenna. I benefit exceptionally from this antenna and can recommend it unreservedly! I can buy another one as a replacement! if they ever stop selling them. The quality of Sirius seems to be decreasing rather than increasing these days.
