As you can see from the product description picture the vest looks a bit more orange than my photos. Personally, this vest is more red, maybe with a slight orange tinge. We don't care because we actually prefer red to orange, but I thought it was worth mentioning. This is a high quality vest and I am very happy with the way the material looks and feels. It has a nice thickness and I can say that it will withstand many uses. We received the large size, suitable for 8-10 years old kids. I gave it to my 10 year old daughter and she fits perfectly. When she outgrows it will be gifted to my son who is now 8 years old. I love that this is a unisex vest so it can be worn by any gender. This vest can be worn with a zipped or unbuttoned shirt underneath. This is a versatile tile as you can wear it with a sleeveless or short sleeve shirt underneath in summer or with a long sleeve shirt underneath in winter. My daughter likes to wear it with a zip and a collar around her neck, but you can also leave it half buttoned and pull the collar down.
