Not that it was unexpected, but these ultra-thin drill bits bent badly when working with round objects (like a pipe). As long as there's a center hole to get the Leading drill bit will do what you want. One thing I've found when using them (particularly in a drill press) is that you want to reduce the RPM on them. I've screwed two of these by drilling through thin brass at 2000rpm, but at 1200rpm they work fine.
