I am the father writing this review and my rating is based on value for money, performance, looks and the fact that it was combined by the coaching staff and support director into a very large scale "highly recommended" became very popular gym in Southern California. Hmm, sponsorship or other commercially advantageous business relationship? I considered giving three stars as the shoe is very light and flexible and my daughter says it fits and feels good. That's all she cares about; She is 11 years old. As a former soccer player and wrestler, I know the importance of quality footwear. I gave it any number of stars to start with just for comfort and performance. Not so much for looks, but generally and not conspicuously. Definitely seen more colorful shoes. They appear soft, but they were only intended for training. So I gave these shoes a maximum of two stars based on price and quality. Small white threads came loose from the tongues on the back and foam sole after two uses. The foam midsole also tears at the seam where it is glued to the black fabric where the white laces were attached. It was just annoying at first and I wanted to either stick them back on or cut them off. But I quickly realized that white laces are a necessary part of the lacing system; Without them, neither the ankle nor the heel cup can achieve maximum strength or stability in short stature/acrobatics without these anchor points. This is quite a heavy blow to the overall purpose, performance and quality of the shoe. Conclusion: NOT RECOMMENDED.
