This is the second HDMI Digital TV + Recorder RCA Converter we use. The first voice recorder remote was made from very thin plastic that broke when you pressed the buttons on the back and used a 2025 battery that needed to be replaced frequently. This latest remote control has a much better designed remote control that uses 2 AAA batteries. We like RCA because it seems like we get further channels from the antennas they're connected to than other converter/recorders from other manufacturers. If we need to record three programs at the same time, we now have two recorders that can communicate with weaker stations. The old one tended to lock and had to be disconnected from the power supply to restart. So far there have been no problems with it.
