I used this on an old Univega bike that required a 22.2mm stem. It just fitted perfectly. It was a bit short for my use. If you're looking to repurpose it for an older bike, keep that in mind, especially if you're doing a road conversion or something. I just wish it was a little longer (about 10-20mm more). I had to use an additional adapter to make it suitable for my use. Please note that compared to regular road bike stems, this stem is slightly shorter AFTER you attach it to the stem. This may suit your geometry and desired ride, but be aware. I suggest you measure first.
