We first liked this collar for our 70 pound Pitbull Weimaraner mix. However, after just a few days of use, the stitching holding the D-ring in place broke. in the middle of the collar. The dog was tied to the outer cable when it broke. As I went outside to return the dog, I spotted him about 50 feet from the driveway and heard my neighbor call my name. She found the dog on the street and brought him home. Thank goodness someone took care of her. The D-ring sits roughly in the middle of the collar and is held in place through the skin with stitches on each side of the ring. The skin was torn along a line. You can see this in the photos I've included. In hindsight, I wouldn't buy a device with a D-ring positioned like this. I think a collar with a ring next to the buckle will hold up better. I am sending it back for a refund.
