Review on πŸ›’οΈ Dorman 919-840 Front Fuel Line - OE FIX for Chevrolet / GMC Models by Tim Hodzic

The product may be good, but the installation is a nightmare!

It would be a good product if you could install it. While the cross-sectional aspect of the product helps with installation, there is absolutely no way, NEVER, to maneuver the front into place. So unless you plan to remove the engine or cab from the truck, this is a worthless product. The two-minute YouTube tutorial video is also completely useless. The video shows an installation time of one to two hours; not even close! Apparently there is a mounting bolt on the gearbox that needs to be removed in order to remove the old lines and then install the new ones. Even though the video mentions it, it even shows where it is and how to get it; They conveniently show the removal of a frame bolt that even my six year old could undo. The video appears to have been shot for a relatively new truck as there is no rust on it and the quick release skewers just come loose. In fact, I had to buy 3/8" and 5/16" couplers, fuel line quick disconnects, and fuel line parts to even think about completing the installation. Probably a good product but installation is a NIGHTMARE! This is not a general repair product unless you are interested in restoration.
