This product is a scam and doesn't actually function as a reliable dash cam.Reason 1 - even with the fastest sd card on the market I still get warnings that say my sd card is slow and the warnings interrupt the recording. I imagine this is because no matter how fast of an sd card it's because the company wants you to buy their overpriced marked up sd cards.Reason 2 - There's a format sd card option that doesn't function properly even when you hit yes to format the sd card, the message keeps appearing and stops the recording. If you don't remember to clear this screen or you do not turn it off it will not record.Reason 3 - and most importantly - This dash cam DOES NOT WORK if the weather outside gets above 80°. The unit will either not turn on at all or the screen will not turn on but the unit will be on and you can hear noises but it's not recording. To fix this you have to restart the unit multiple times. Even after doing that, this dash cam will continue to freeze and turn its self off until you have the ac on to cool the car down.Stay far away from this product, and this companys products as they are the opposite of what a dash cam should be which is reliable. I am going to file a warranty claim and update this accordingly based off how the company handles it.Edit:Reason 4 - got rear ended today and the other person ran, I have provided a picture of the black screen recording that the camera saved.Reason 5 - Vantrue does not honor their warranty. And wants videos of there camera not recording things and not functioning? Not sure how I'm supposed to provide that.
