Review on Vantrue M2 2.5K Dual Mirror Dash Cam For Car, 1440P Front & Rear View Waterproof Backup Camera W/ Sony Night Vision, GPS, 24H Parking Mode & Assist - Supports 512G Max by Aaron Jensen

This is my second VanTrue product; I also have an S1 that I purchased back in April.The package arrives as advertised; everything was included and neat. Nothing much to note there.The instructions are in several languages and are fairly straightforward. It would not be possible for VanTrue to include detailed installation instructions for every car make and model, so naturally you'll have to look up some things for your own vehicle, specifically WHERE THE REVERSE CABLE IS LOCATED. I installed this M2 on my wife's 2015 Prius, and it turns out that the reverse cable is not located in the lift gate where the camera is located, and so in order to have the use of the backup guiding lights when in reverse (something my wife really needs, and the whole reason I was interested in this product for her) I had to buy about 4' of cable wire and splice in the cable to the reverse light. I was very nervous about accidentally cutting the wire so I didn't fully strip the wire, and now the connection is not as secure as it could be. Basically this was a much more complicated installation than I thought, requiring hours of concentration and removing lots of internal body cameras. It might be MUCH easier with your car make/model but you should consider this before buying.That said, once installed it works just as advertised. There are lots of features and the device is highly customizable. I have no complaints regarding the options, features or interface, an though it's nice that t the rear cam has a wide enough angle up and down to allow you to scroll up/down by swiping on the mirror screen, the scrolling is a little bit choppy. What else? I have not installed the GPS or made use of the app, but it looks like a pretty cool extra feature and nice of them to include it.I think that's it, I have had a positive experience with VanTrue and this product generally but I do honestly advise that you consider your car type first. If you have a hatchback and the reverse backup guide line feature is very important to you, there's a chance you'll have a bit of a tricky installation like me. That said, you can also pay someone at your local auto body shop to instal it for you. I imagine a professional could get it done a lot faster than me so it might not be too expensive in terms of hours of labor.Okay hope that helps! Drive safe :)
