An almost perfect miter sensor. Very basic but with useful extra features

Over the years I've used a number of different angle fences and worn table saws. Included. I've always pondered my idea of an ideal, well-designed sensor that's both accurate and simple. This sensor reaches all brands. Easy to read scale. Positive stops for normal cuts are absolutely precise. Roller bearings for adjusting track error are a great idea that I never thought of. This adjustable bearing feature is really useful, especially on "on site" construction bench saws, which aren't always as perfect as the miter guides on a belt-driven bench saw like the Delta Uni Saw. The gauge width is 3/4 inch. So if you have a construction site table saw and are looking for a real miter fence, measure the guide on your saw before ordering. I have a Delta and a Ryobi table saw for backup. The sensor does not work on Ryobi even with T-Roller. But if the carriage in your saw is 3/4 inch wide, you'll be fine with this gauge. . The only improvement I would like to make to the gauge is the small but T-adjust knob on the forced stop actuator. However, the actuator works and is the most advanced sensor I have ever seen or used. No frills, but all the bells and whistles for functionality in design.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Doubt
