I don't know what cheese this is for. Maybe those little 8-ounce blocks of soft cheddar they sell in the stores? But the ads are all like, "Design!" So who's buying this that also wants to cut junk cheese into chunks? So we have this big gouda wedge that was too soft and sticky to cut with a knife. Perfect job for wire cutters, right? nope It was too much to handle. First, as the cheese was being cut, the metal cap in the handle rotated so the wires were no longer parallel to the shaft. After a long effort I got it back as requested. This happened several times. Then the wire just broke. As a reminder, I still cut Gouda, I haven't switched to Parmigiano-Reggiano. (Soft cheddar lovers, this is what's trying to mimic the powdered toe fungus they sell in plastic jars alongside Raguยฎ.) I've used this a maximum of 10 times. Long enough that I can't get it back. Not long enough to justify what I paid for it. "I'm going back to the low-key varieties I once found in the dollar store. I suggest you skip my experience and go straight to cheap instead of cheap.
