I have never used clay. I enjoy making art for fun and I'm by no means a professional, but I've found this to work extremely well for me. I had a lot of fun and was able to implement what I had planned. I wanted to make a wolf-like character and I was able to do it with this product. I used 16 gauge rebar wire as a backing before applying the clay so the finished piece would have more structural integrity. It dries relatively quickly, but having water to wet the tips of your figures gives the clay more time before it dries. Good product!
