This is a very cute toy but as you can see from the picture it is not safe for the gray parrot. Suitable for a parrot or cockatiel but no more. There is a metal hook that attaches the bell and cracker to the chain. My gray opened it up in under 10 minutes and had the clapper in his mouth. The chain wasn't strong enough either. My bird chewed it through! When I first received the toy I knew it wouldn't last long, but I tried it anyway and watched it closely. Other than that, it's a really adorable toy with a cute chime. It would be nice if the company made it stronger specifically for larger parrots! My gray really likes this toy :(
