I It seems that most bikes, even big box bikes, have old designs that were made for aerodynamics (road racing) or steep trails (BMX racing). If you don't ride old style single speed or three speed, there is no alternative. I started thinking about how I could raise the bars and move them back a bit to improve my posture and take the weight off my arms and prostate. It's made very strong, it fits perfectly where I took the other one out slightly. The upper joint is also fully adjustable.
