Review on Healthy Ceramic Nonstick Round Egg Pan by GreenPan: Mini, 5-inch, Gray - Perfect for Healthier Cooking! by Ben Alvarez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for eggs but a bit unbalanced and could use a better grip

Received my mini egg pan and immediately went for it. The pot will NOT work on induction unless you use a diffuser. I also bought a diffuser right away, so I tried the Egg Beaters Egg White Pan. If you're familiar with four packs of small whisks, one small container fills about half of the small skillet. In large pans I could cook at 350 and not singe the eggs, but I could tell I had to lower the temp to copper. - 275 degrees for security. It took a little longer, but it wasn't until it was flipped that it came out perfectly round egg whites in the shape of a hamburger patty (it would make a nice sandwich). there was no burning and it was a very well cooked egg. My only concerns about this pan were. An empty pan tips over easily, and with a still hot pan you have to be careful, also since the whole handle is NOT covered, you also have to be careful not to slip your fingers on the hot bare part of the very short handle. In the photo the handle appears to be longer than it actually is. Keep in mind that this is a very small pot. I wish there was a raised lip on the end of the rubber grip to keep my fingers from slipping. I love cooking eggs right out of the shell. It costs money, just be careful not to touch the bare part of the handle. (I'm used to induction pans that don't get hot handles)

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Safety
