Not disappointed! in Kettle

I killed my last kettle by leaving it on the stove with the whistle on so as not to wake anyone. :-( We really liked this kettle, saying goodbye was difficult. I think it lasted about 16 years. No broken plastic parts. So the hunt began. , connected whistle, low price, easy to clean ,no plastic (This is a house full of people aged 14+) This kettle will be used a lot!The previous 3 kettles lasted maybe a year because all the plastic handles cracked around the mounting screws Satisfied. It's durable, thick, more rubberized Handle, not smooth, just enough texture for a good grip. It's easy to clean, like the whole kettle. So nice that you don't have to grab the oven mitt every time you want to pour hot water.Oven mitt was often forgotten and sometimes burned. Move away from stove. :-O It whistles nice and loud unless crowded. Also the instructions say not to heat over medium heat. For the amount of water it heats nt, it heats up pretty quickly. Cheap aluminum kettles are likely to heat up faster, but they also cool down and break down faster. By the way, I use a gas stove and my Elev. is 2222 feet. Everyone in the house is happy with it. We have a good bond with our new kettle and hope it will be with us for a long time. :-) Hope this helped you with your own hunt!
