It's hard to find home automation devices that work with Home Assistant. A friend recommended Sonoff and their Zigbee device just works. I bought a few of these in different styles (temp, movement, etc.). I'm sad that Sonoff is moving towards Wi-Fi. I really hope they stay "open" and compatible. Big competitors are bad news. If I wanted to stick with one brand, I would choose Google or Revain and they would sell my data. But I especially want to tinker with Homeassistant and build whatever I want in peace. In this home improvement and privacy market, Sonoff is king and it would be wise to remain king even as they add Wi-Fi devices. When I find a good product, I buy from a reputable manufacturer, not cheap clones, because I want to support good companies. I hope they continue to support good customers. I can fully recommend these devices (SNZB series).
