Review on Cary Thickness Dampers Silicone Shuguang by George Kapoor

I bought these to reduce "tube rattle" and noise in my Fender DeVille 4x10 (tube combo amp). At first I admitted that I might have invested in larger tube shocks offered by other manufacturers, but the price forced me to experiment with them. So far I've run about 10 hours with two of these on each tube (2 6L6GCR) and the tube rattle has been reduced somewhat (I can still hear the rattle at lower volumes with a clean guitar input). Also, I had a burning smell coming from my amp, most likely from the rings. I examined my hoses and rings to see if they were melting, but they were intact and no marks were left on my hoses. I did a little research and found that there might be a factory coating on the silicone rings that could "burn out", but it did no harm to the amp. I tried the rings on two sets of lamps and they gave similar results: slight reduction in noise and burning smell. extra noise and since it came in packs of ten.
