Review on Samsung DC97 16350D Assy Damper by Nick Ross

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Non-OEM parts, worn out in 2 months

We ordered these 4 new damper rods due to "DC error code" (imbalance) with no other issues at the time. Received them quickly, no complaints... We also purchased Permatex White Lithium Grease to separate order and applied to new parts as instructed. Very easy to install. I installed 4 new damper rods/springs 2 months ago. I have verified the correct part number for my Samsung top loading washing machine. The new rods were the same length/size as my old rods. They worked fine initially... BUT... Within 6 weeks we noticed that when adding water, the drum sank deeper than usual and the vibrations during spinning also increased. Then after 8 weeks each charge is a DC code; becomes unbalanced and tends to fill up for more washes, wasting a lot of water. These new shocks are inferior to my original worn shocks that are over 8 years old. This is an aftermarket product...not an OEM. Read carefully... About two weeks ago, Per Revain Customer Support, I sent a message to the Parts Supply Center via Revain Link and to date have had no response. If I hear anything I will update my review. **** Updated 12/10/20 **** Seller has not yet responded. I bought new damper rods from Samsung and installed them 4 weeks ago. They work great and the drum sits higher too. OEM parts have a thicker shaft, stronger spring, and cost less than competitor parts at about $4 each. OEM from Samsung paid off!
