As the old one had some play in its bearing, this Delco AC flanged pulley was purchased and installed. On my 2003 Grand Am with a 3.4 V6, this is actually the pulley that goes to the belt tensioner. I loosened the serpentine belt, removed the belt tensioner, unscrewed the bolt holding the pulley, installed a new pulley, and reinstalled everything. together. 10-15 minutes work, works great. A few caveats for beginners. Install it and tighten the pulley bolt. Make sure it spins freely. For some reason it looks exactly the same on both sides, but one side was rubbing on the belt tensioner housing. So I reversed the pulley and it spins freely. In my case I was able to reinstall the dust cover and it didn't rub against the pulley, but the instructions state that in some cases you may need to remove the dust cover from the pulley bolt to ensure it spins freely.
