I bought my scroll saw used and originally had a Dewalt scroll saw (DW788) and stand (DW7880) on 3 tiny casters. I was never happy with the way he moved. So I bought some 3 inch caster wheels and installed them under the legs instead. I was pretty happy with how the saw moved, but it sat way higher than I wanted. The roller lock also prevented the saw from rolling, but it still wobbled a bit. And then I found this mobile base. The assembly went well. I ended up with an assembled frame body that was 20 inches wide and 32 inches long. It's perfect for a rolling stand. I ended up cutting out a piece of wood to support the center leg at the back of the saw stand. I bolted this support to both the chassis and the leg of the tripod. I also added 2 wooden "clips" on the inside of the 2 front legs to hold the 2 front legs securely on the moving base. I used 1/2" x 1-1/2" screws throughout because they fit well in the holes in both the base and saw stand. Wheels instead of 3, is the ideal height and locks securely when the front wheels are retracted. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Highly recommended!
