I've tested this at some of the high readings I have and it has acceptable readings. Very accurate. This is not mechanical accuracy, but approximate. The display backlight turns off after 20-30 seconds if I don't move or touch the device, it could stay on a bit longer but that would be my only complaint if I had one. But I can handle it, just wanted to mention it. While the device is in hold mode, you can scroll through the different measurement modes to retrieve their readings, making it easier to switch between measurements. This device is used with internal magnets on a 4 foot cast iron level for underground applications. Plumbing, so I think it's more than accurate enough for that.
