I was worried that with the box installed I might still be putting the hard freedom tops on my back. After installing the crate, I put the hardtops in the back to see if the tailgate was closed and not. No problem, you just have to know. Installation was easy except one of the holes in the plastic trim didn't line up so I have an ugly twisted hole in the plastic trim that no one will ever see, but it's there. The box itself is strong, but it's made of thin steel, so the sound is "tinny" or muffled. I took a can of rubber spray and used it whole to cover the inside, but I'll probably also take some toolbox rubber mats and cut them to fit inside. I'm actually quite surprised at how good it is and it has quite a bit of space which will come in handy in the summer when my wife wants to leave something locked in the car once we've got the doors and roof off. Overall I like it and I think it will serve other people very well too.
