Review on Enhance Internet Speed with TP-Link AC1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter (Archer T4U V1) by Agata Sikora ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

An ASUS RT-AC66U router is used in conjunction with the adapter. Buying suggestion: 1) watching IP TV over Wi-Fi, including channels with HD quality; 2) taking advantage of the 5.0 GHz band; and 3) making use of the Wi-Fi standard of 8022022ac in speed. At a frequency of 2.4 GHz, more than 20 networks are visible in my apartment, and there are no free channels that do not overlap each other. In addition, there is microwave interference. After the adapter has been linked to a laptop running Windows 7, it is simple to configure using the disk that was provided. When the adapter is linked to the laptop, the system returns an average speed test result of 95/95 Mbps for uploading and downloading data. It should be noted that the speed at the rate from the supplier is 99 Mbps, which indicates that speed loss is negligible. Without an adaptor, the speed ranges between 35 and 40 Mbps, and the Wi-Fi standard is 802.202n/g at 2.4GHz. The laptop is situated in a location that is four meters away from the router and can be accessed through the first plaster wall. It makes no difference whether you connect to a USB 3.0 port or a USB 2.0 port; the maximum speed for both downloading and transferring data is 95 Mbps regardless of which port you choose. It is possible to watch TV channels in high definition without any issues; however, the picture quality on some stations occasionally degrades. The malfunction is most likely not due to a piece of hardware, but rather to an issue with the quality of the signal that is being broadcast. TOTAL. Investing in an adaptor is something you should do. The pricing is significantly lower compared to other adapters from ASUS, such as the AC53 or AC56, despite the adapter's superior quality.

Pros
  • Elegant, well-assembled, uncomplicated, and dependable operation in accordance with the guiding idea of "switch it on, set it up, and forget it."
Cons
  • When not linked directly to the USB port, the cable for the connection is somewhat vast in size and quite thick.
