I returned this. I had it in my garage in the freezer, it's brand new and has had 3 service already. Every time I find the temperature has dropped just when I go to the garage to get something. So I figured I would now be alerted to a drop in temperature. No! It only worked when I was in an open door. into the garage, otherwise it would not connect. So at this point I can visually see the freezer and, if applicable, the low temperature indicator. Also, I have to remember to go to the garage, open the app and check the temperature. That's not at all what I wanted. So instead I bought a set of two thermometers (for the fridge and freezer) and put both in the freezer, the two parts that heat up the quickest when broken. The monitor is in my kitchen and perfectly reads the temperature from the garage. It has an alarm and I can check the temperature anytime I'm in the kitchen.
