not usable due to virus warning

VCI Mini Cable OBD2 J2534 Cable Connector Scanner Adapter Fit Toyota TIS Techstream V14 V15 Firmware V1.4.3 OBD II Adapter security settings are disabled. I was able to go into the Settings section and remove remotes and add a remote, but the remote/key I bought from Revain (Toyota Camry Corolla 2014-2016 Keyless Entry Remote Fob HYQ12BEL H Chip New Uncut Blade Replacement Key from AutoKeyMax) did not work. The remote beeped when activated on the techstream and I had a spare key but the key didn't open/lock the doors it did the trunk. After that, when I tried to change another setting (like turning on the daytime running lights), I couldn't access the system. Very embarrassing. Why did I download the program despite the virus warning? I felt that installing the program in a virtual system would give me the protection I needed. I ventured with this adapter, but the software that comes with it is removed by the WIN10 antivirus. The 64-bit driver is the file that Windows Defender removes. The 32-bit driver is not installed. It's probably due to the security settings. I installed the Virtual Box image to run the software, but I couldn't load the driver for the cable. For those who say follow the instructions (disable ALL security features) or let the provider install it on your computer - LOL! Good luck with your next financing and/or keeping your personal information safe. I cannot recommend this product with the current driver. If a manufacturer provides a driver that doesn't enable the security system (and is safe to use), I may reconsider my recommendation. I did not return the cable - I hope the seller provides a different driver.
