Review on Tank Fuel Filler Neck Hose by Jeff Sorensen

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not what it looks like in spare parts

Incorrect product description. This hose is not reinforced as advertised. It also claims to meet OEM specifications. In terms of size maybe. In terms of building material specifications, Ford could not and would not use these materials. This gum acts like a fuel, but the environment degrades it VERY quickly. Check out the pictures in the reviews. Just search for yourself. Do your own research on the Internet. I will not post links as my last review was not accepted. You'll see why it's only $40 compared to $350 or more for a genuine Ford replacement. Sure, you pay more for OEM, but a lot of the higher price is quality. Yes, some of them are only for excessive wins, but just look at the big gap here. That should tell you everything. That hose might last a year before it snaps if you're lucky. You can find a very good quality external hose online for around $40. I can't tell where on Revain. I wouldn't park my car in the garage with this tube if I knew it was going to rupture in such a short amount of time. It's gasoline. you do the math Leaks, ventilation in your home/garage. Even outside it is not acceptable. Don't believe me, do your own research. Once you have this installed keep an eye on it, especially at both ends where the hose clamps are. I immediately returned the one I bought. Found the real one online.
