Fits perfectly. in the fuel system

Perfect fit. Since you have to insert the inner tube yourself, just make sure it is oriented correctly. Place the end onto the tank first, then set the bed back to make sure the spout holes line up. If not, move the frame and adjust it to the tank. When you tighten the filler neck, you twist the inner hose and the fuel does not flow. I had to do it twice. I'll check later how long this will take. I know that if you try to push as much throttle as possible, fuel will end up in the outer hose…

Avoid this item. It did not fit the Ford Ranger it was purchased for

Vapor hose shorter by about 1.5 inches or so. The positions of the filler and fuel tanks are fixed so that neither can be moved. The vapor hose (outside) should reach from the filler neck to the fuel tank and it is too short. It barely went through either end, nowhere near the full depth of the removed OEM item. Enough to hold the clamp at the end. I emailed the supplier and received a list of questions and also reminded them of a specific issue. I will not buy from them again.

Just Good Comments added 04/04/19

Bought for my 96 Ford Ranger. The filler neck is of good quality, however one of the clamps broke when I tried to loosen it. I had to use one of the old O-clamps from the original neck. The metal filler didn't quite fit, I had to turn it against the instructions but it worked. So all in all it's worth it for the price. Update: not worth it. After installing the neck, the gas was not poured. The pump behaved as if the tank was full (it was 1/2). After a bit of research, the flip cover doesn't…

outage in less than a year.

A few years ago when my truck gave out an evaporator code I diagnosed a cracked fuel tank hose. The original lasted almost 20 years so I can't really complain. I bought this hose and installed it. Problem solved. for some time. About a year later, the truck began issuing evaporative codes again. Yes, the filler hose broke. Well, I thought, maybe I was just unlucky. I bought the same hose again and it fixed the evaporation code for a while. In the past few months my truck has been setting…

Easy enough to remove the truck bed with a few helping hands

Screw to replace a cracked fuel filler neck that leaked during filling/refueling. Ranger beds are attached with six screws. Disconnect the taillights and the old filler neck and you're ready to remove it. Probably weighs just over 200lbs with nothing in (3 people / one on each side of the bed can be easily lifted and reinstalled. The torx screws holding the bed in place are easy to remove and through Replacing a Ford is expensive. Do yourself a favor and secure the truck bed with automotive…

Not what it looks like in spare parts

Incorrect product description. This hose is not reinforced as advertised. It also claims to meet OEM specifications. In terms of size maybe. In terms of building material specifications, Ford could not and would not use these materials. This gum acts like a fuel, but the environment degrades it VERY quickly. Check out the pictures in the reviews. Just search for yourself. Do your own research on the Internet. I will not post links as my last review was not accepted. You'll see why it's only $40

Good replacement inflation hose for 1996 Ford Ranger

Seems to be a good replacement for the inflation hose. Looks well made. The stock Ranger hoses seem to snap/fail where the gas tank attaches to the outer hose. I started noticing that when I filled the gas tank, gas would spill onto the floor. I first noticed this sometime in 2020 (when the truck was 24 years old). I recently decided to replace the hose. I got the job done by removing the tank from the car (I also replaced the fuel pump and the two straps holding the tank at this point). I…
