Review on 🏠 M D Building Products 69554 U-Shaped Weatherstrip Door Seal by Isaac Maze

I replaced my existing front door brush/seal with this product. Other brushes of this width fit my door perfectly. This was free but usable. I ended up using painters tape to secure it while I marked the holes to drill. The height of the metal was slightly less than advertised. Unfortunately the builder messed up our door after installing the original molding and it doesn't quite cover the unpainted portion. I specifically ordered this product to get high enough, but it didn't work as intended. The gap is small enough and is on the outside of the door, so I live with that and will either use touch up markers or wait for the entire door to be repainted. . When the product arrived, a piece of brown paint had already peeled off. Like most people, I had to make notches to properly close the door given the weather conditions in the door frame. Unfortunately, this means the bright silver within has been exposed. I have a dark brown marker that I use to color things, but this product doesn't hold the color very well. I need to find a color suitable for metal to hide the shiny details. They are on the outside of the door so they don't regularly catch our attention but they should be fixed as one of the reasons for this replacement was to improve the look of our home.
